Bill Mogridge Scholarship

SPONSORED BY LIA - WA DIVISION

 

The Bill Mogridge Print Scholarship Award is available to any members actively employed in the printing industry of Western Australia. The award provides candidates with the opportunity of attending one of the following :

 

• Pacific Area Newspaper Publishers' Association (PANPA), generally held in August each year.
• LIA National Convention, held every 2 years.
• PakPrint. Held every 4 years.
• Printex. Held 2 years after PakPrint.

 

 

The award includes :

 

• Economy return airfare to the exhibition
• 5 nights accommodation
• $500 spending money

 

AIM - The aim of the award is to contribute to, and support the industry which supports the LIA, and it is granted in memory of Bill Mogridge, who spent 50 years in the printing industry. It is intended to be an incentive to members of the industry to improve themselves and benefit the industry in general.

 

EXPECTATIONS - The successful applicant is expected to provide a written report within two weeks after the event attended and speak at a technical meeting of the LIA, held within three months of the event.

 

Should the successful applicant attend the exhibition and leave the industry within 12 months of attending, the award costs are to be refunded to the LIA.
